Small Farms Scholarships Available Now!

Slow Food Orlando is pleased to offer scholarships for 2 Central Florida Farmers or Food Business Owners to attend the 2013 Small Farms Conference.  Each selected farmer will receive full conference registration.  We are seeking small- to mid-size farms or producers that either currently employ sustainable farming practices or are interested in converting to more sustainable approaches to farming.  Farmers who are selling locally or interested in selling locally are preferred.  Scholarship recipients will be asked to provide 2 service hours to Slow Food Orlando, which can be fulfilled either...

  This summer, Orlando Junior Academy will host its second Edible Academy, a 2-day teacher training at OJA’s kitchen lab and garden. The training will include discussions and activities that will help teachers build their own garden and cooking curriculum customized to their resources, needs and ability.
